The Egyptian army has bolstered its presence at the Rafah border crossing with the Gaza Strip amidst the escalating Israeli-Hamas conflict, shutting it down and stranding over 200 Palestinians in North Sinai, while also deploying additional forces and constructing high cement barriers.
